This is the first multi-storey composite building constructed in the city of Chalkis. The structural system consists of HEB profile steel columns and IPE profile beams. In the upper flange of the beams, Φ19x150 shear studs were machine-welded in place. Concrete plates were cast in situ. The lateral resistance system configuration is X-bracing of RHS profile. Steel column bearing is done to the footing level and then encased to the concrete columns of the basement (up to the ground level). Strip footings were used to deliver ground pressure. The project were used as a prototype for the construction of another five multi-storey building to the city.
